Please join the Microscopy Society of Southern Africa for the 57th Congress (MSSA 2022) hosted by the University of the Witwatersrand. Our theme for the conference will be ” Microscopy is FUN ” .

Date: 5th to 8th December 2022
Venue: Gold Reef City Theme Park Hotel, Johannesburg

The mission of the Microscopy Society of Southern Africa is to promote and develop microscopy as well as associated techniques at all levels in the Southern African region.

MSSA hosts biennial meetings inviting students, microscopists, researchers, and industrial partners to offer a platform to:

1. Interact and network within all disciplines of science and engineering through microscopy,
2. Engage on the latest technological developments in light, electron and laser microscopy,
3. Encourage and expand knowledge in microscopy technologies through our technical forum and exhibition lounges and workshops,
4. Provide opportunities for the trade and microscopist interactions, enabling information sourcing on applications and/or purchases, and
5. Most importantly, present and share research, ideas and experiences with fellow delegates.
