This session of the MSSA Workshop 2020 focuses on “Light (LM) and Stereomicroscopy (SM) Microscopy”.

  • Talk by Dr. J. Wesley-Smith (Sefako Makgatho University). Title: “There is more to light microscopy than meets the eye”
  • Talk by Mr. M. Doppler (Leica). Title: “Contrast Methods in Light Microscopy”

Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)

This session of the MSSA Workshop 2020 focuses on “Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)” with two talks by: 

  • Dr. C. Dickinson (JEOL U.K.) Titled: “TEM Training- SAED, STEM and HAADF Solving Diffraction and Aligning STEM”.
  • Dr. J. Olivier (Nelson Mandela University) Titled: “TEM Practical session”.
  • Session Coordinator: Ms. Charity Maepa (University of Pretoria)

  • Talk by Ms. S. Duma (NRF).
    Title: “Funding/Support offered by the NRF for researchers and students: Equipment Grants and Access to Global Infrastructure”
